Hi! I’m Courtney — a wedding photographer based in Mount Maunganui. I’ve been shooting weddings for 10+ years and I still get genuinely excited about photographing them. The happy tears, messy dance moves, and all the little chaos that actually makes a wedding a wedding.
I shoot in a pretty relaxed, candid way. From pre-ceremony nerves, to friends hyping you up, kids grabbing handfuls of confetti, someone crying at the wrong moment, that mate with the inappropriately loud laugh… maybe even someone being slightly unhinged on the dance floor — I’ll be there to capture all of it. The stuff that makes your day yours.
If posing makes you break out in a cold sweat — totally normal. I can toss in a ridiculous joke, give a little posing nudge if it helps, or just step back and let you do your thing. No stiff smiles, no awkward pauses — just all the fun, messy, genuinely you bits.
If you are planning a big party, tiny elopement, backyard shindig, registry office and takeaway after, or a beach somewhere with only your dog as witness — I love photographing all types of weddings!
Your job is to have the time of your life with all your favourite people. Mine is to capture it so in 50 years you can still look at those photographs and remember what a bloody great day it was!
